Hazyland Old English Sheepdogs

Welcome to Hazyland Old English Sheepdogs.

We are Debbi and Martin Palmer and live in Roos in East Yorkshire. We acquired our first OES - Max - in August 2007. His breeders were Janet and David Swannell from Leicestershire and we would like to say a big thankyou to them for all their help, advice and support since we got our beautiful boy.

We are currently campaigning Max on the Show circuit and he is doing reasonably well. We treat it as abit of fun and its a great way to get to know new people and make new friends. Most other exhibitors with years of experience have been marvellous in giving us hints and tips whilst showing Max.

Ellie joined the family in October 2007. She came from a breeder in North Yorkshire. We have decided not to show Ellie as she gets very car sick. She has a wonderful temperament and is the comical one of the three.

Phoebe has now joined the family after finishing her quarantine in Belgium. It was a long journey home for her but she coped really well and has appeared to settle in beautifully. We started Showing Phoebe along with Max from March 2009. Many thanks to Conny Loest for our beautiful girl - we hope we can do you proud!

As responsible breeders of the future we will ensure that the relevant hip-scores and eye tests are done prior to any breeding. Details of all results wil be posted on this website. We will also take into account temperament as well as the Breed Standard as defined by the Kennel Club.

We will not participate in any breeding programme which we consider to be detrimental to the health of our dogs or to the OES breed in general.
